COOKIES POLICY

 

  1. Cookies are IT data (text files in particular) which are stored on the Website User’s end device and are intended to be used on the Website pages. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the amount of time they are stored on the end device and a unique number.
  2. The entity which places and has access to cookies on the Website User’s end device is Echo Investment Spółka Akcyjna with its registered seat in Kielce, 25-323 Kielce al. Solidarności 36 and investment companies affiliated with Echo Investment Spółka Akcyjna (hereinafter referred to as “Echo Investment”)*.
  3. Cookies are used for the following purposes:
    • adjusting the contents of the Website to User’s preferences and optimising the use of the Website; in particular, these files allow for recognition of the Website User’s device and display the content of the Website accordingly, adjusted to their individual needs;
    • creating statistics, with the help of which it is possible to understand how the Website Users exploit the websites, enabling us to improve their structure and content;
    • maintaining the Website User’s session (after logging in) so that the User does not have to enter their login and password on every subpage of the Website.

The Website uses two types of cookies: “session” and “persistent”. “Session” cookies are temporary files which are stored in the User’s end device until the user logs out or leaves the website or disables the software (web browser). “Persistent” cookies are stored in the User’s end device for a period of time specified in the cookies parameters or until they are deleted by the User

    a. “necessary” cookies that enable use of services available within the Website, e.g. authentication of cookies used for services requiring authentication within the Website;

  6. Echo Investment can link the ID of the Website Users’ cookies with other information on the Website User, including personal data. Information thus collected can be used for automated decision-making, including profiling. Profiling is a process of automatic processing of information, including personal data such as age, gender, interests, address of residence or preferences for specific products or services. This process is used in order to develop a Website User profile and analyse it. The purpose of these operations is to match (in the best way possible) the products or services offered by Echo Investment to the needs of the Website Users. Profiling does not affect the legal situation of the Website Users
  7. In many cases, the web browsing software (web browser) allows cookies to be stored in the User’s end device by default. The Website Users may change their cookies settings at any time. These settings can be changed, in particular, so that they would block the automatic handling of cookies in the web browser settings or inform the Website User about each placing of cookies on their device.   10. Website Users have the right to object to the processing of their personal data for purposes resulting from legitimate interests pursued by Echo Investment, including the processing of personal data for the purposes of profiling.
